HDTV LCD TV
HDTV LCD TV
The picture quality of a flat screen TV with LCD display is without disturbing lines, colorful and most importantly, wide. The images of a HDTV LCD TV are lit evenly across the whole surface area of the rear projection TV. In fact, a LCD HDTV at any point in time is reproducing 256 shades of red, 256 shades of green and 256 shades of blue - in short, 16.8 million colors !
The LCD TV monitor is multifunctional. It can display HDTV, regular TV and home video as well. It can even double-up as a computer monitor. The usual high resolution ability of LCD monitors results in displaying text and visuals in the most accurate and clear way. For displaying data and web-based content, nothing compares to LCD monitors.
Some LCD monitors like ones made by Sharp do not come with RGB inputs. If you are planning to use it as a computer monitor, you must check this capability as a feature.
With an average life span of 60,000 hours of television display, a HDTV LCD TV lasts for years. Even if you watched your HDTV LCD for 24 hours, it would take 7 years for the LCD display to wear out. If you watch it for 8 hours a day, you could extend the lifespan of your LCD HDTV up to nearly 20 years !
The most important factor in the life of a HDTV LCD TV is the age of the light source. With age, this fluorescent bulb tends to fade, resulting in color imbalance like more red, etc in the displays. Thus it is better to go for the branded HDTV LCD TV like Sharp, Toshiba, JVC or Sony than choose the fly-by-night Chinese or Korean brands. You are assured of a long-lasting, high-quality backlighting bulb ensuring that the colors stay true, longer.
You will notice that the warranty for a backlighting bulb could be shorter than your HDTV LCD TV. This actually means that you might have to invest in a brand new LCD monitor, because the backlight has gone dead. There are brands where the backlight can be replaced, and some have the bulb built in to the system. Perhaps you need to do some research on the aspect of backlighting, its warranty and configuration, before you invest in that expensive HDTV LCD !
