Best Rear Projection Tv
Before purchasing a rear projection TV, it is good to read how the experts rate them and their comments on three best rear projection TVs.
1. Sony KDS-60A2000 - This is a 60" LCoS rear projection brand of Sony priced at $2500. In comparison to other TVs in this category, critics claim that it has the most pronounced cinematic levels of black. This rear projection TV is good looking with superb picture control features. Equipped with 1080 pixel resolution, it can resolve every pixel of a HDTV or a movie at approximately the same price as a 42-inch plasma HDTV. Built in a cabinet which is about 20-inch deep, this Sony model has automatic light adjustability. So your sports programs look brighter - as the movie indoor scenes' brightness is adjusted to its level of darkness accordingly.
2. The second best amongst rear projection TV would be, according to several critics the 56-inch HD-56FN97 LCoS HDTV from JVC. This rear projection budget TV at $2000 with 1080 pixel output does, according to critics, come very close to Sony's LCoS TVs. Though of course, the quality of black does not match the superior output of Sony WEGA series of rear projection TVs. Few of the excellent features of this JVC brands are : built in iris to adjust light, split screen, picture freeze and index, which allows you to watch 12 channels at the same time. According to critics the picture quality of this JVC brand can improve substantially with professional calibration. The overall performance of HD-56FN97 is better than many sets in its category.
3. This is a 62-inch 1080 pixel, DLP HDTV from Toshiba. The Toshiba TheaterWide 62HM196 DLP TV, according to critics is a great choice for a budget TV. At $1900, it produces great images on its giant 62-inch screen. While rear projection LCoS TVs are the critics' favorite, the Toshiba TheaterWide 62HM196 DLP TV is not a bad choice either. The SD and HD performances are commendable with excellent black reproduction. Important features include a double-window POP (picture outside picture) and frame freezing options. This set however is one of the present-day 1080 pixel models which can not accept 1080 pixel inputs. Thus it makes sense to go for this set, if you plan to buy a high-definition DVDplayer.
